Scratches on Matt Surfaces

Step:

Remove all loose and splintered particles. Use the Edge Planer to press damage edges slightly down to obtain smooth transitions.

Melt of small quantities of Hard Wax Matt with the heated tip of the Electric Heater or with the Hot Knife (lowest level) and fill damaged area.

Strip off projectings in still heated condition evenly with the leading edge of the Combination Planer or after cooling down (approx. 1 min.) with the Metal Planer.

Make an intermediate sealing by misting with Special Repair Lacquer PLUS from a distance of 30-40 cm – do not spray too wet. Replicate grain using the Graining Pen.

Restore grain pattern by slightly scratching (e.g. with the edge of the Combination Planer).

Either use Special Repair Lacquer Plus or Clear Lacquer to seal and to protect repaired area from dust and dirt and to adjust the sheen level, if necessary. Alternatively, you can also use the Brush Pen Clear Lacquer for sealing and sheen level adjustment.
